  Memories of Arnaldo Mengoli (AIPA and AGIP). By  P. Mengoli     Arnaldo Mengoli began working in the oil sector in 1932 in Albania with the FFSS, in the village of Kuciova on the river Devoli, from which the village built by Aipa for its staff took its name. In 1941, by decree of the Mussolini Government, the AIPA was transfered from the FFSS to the AGIP, for which Arnaldo became an employee. After September 8, 1943 he was fired by the Agip as the company had interrupted activities due to the German occupation of Albania. He continued to work in Italy with the SAIP and then with the SPEM, to be summarized by the Agip in 1949 and assigned to the "Cantiere di Caviaga". On December 20, 1952, he had a car accident while visiting a drilling rig together with an engineer from the UNMI (National Hydrocarbon Mining Office), with a fatal outcome for both. His son Sergio, recently graduated, was hired by the Agip where he served as a geologist until his death. Arnaldo Mengoli iniziò a lavorare nel settore petrolifero nel 1932 in Albania con le FFSS, nella località di Kuciova sul fiume Devoli,  dal quale prese il nome il villaggio costruito dall'Aipa per il proprio personale. Nel 1941, su decreto del Governo Mussolini, l’AIPA passò dalle FFSS all’AGIP, per cui Arnaldo divenne un impiegato dell’AGIP. Dopo l'otto settembre 1943 venne licenziato dall'Agip in quanto la società aveva interrotto le attività per l'occupazione tedesca dell'Albania. Continuò a lavorare in Italia con la SAIP e poi con la SPEM, per essere riassunto dall'Agip nel 1949 ed assegnato al Cantiere di Caviaga. Il 20 dicembre 1952 ebbe un incidente stradale mentre era in visita ad un impianto di perforazione insieme ad un ingegnere dell'UNMI (Ufficio Nazionale Minerario Idrocarburi), con esito fatale per entrambi. Il figlio Sergio, diplomato da poco, venne assunto all'Agip dove prestò servizio come geologo fino alla sua morte. In ricordo di Arnaldo Mengoli. Di P. Mengoli
